Stories From México
Stories from México is a Mexican Cinema & Culture Week held in Dublin, Ireland — a festival designed to be the bridge connecting two nations through the power of storytelling, cinema, and art.
We exist to give Mexican filmmakers greater global exposure while supporting the local Mexican community living in Ireland in a simple and direct way. At the same time, we open a platform for Irish artists to exhibit their work in Mexico.
In Dublin, the Latin American and Spanish-speaking community surpassed 55,000 residents in 2025 — approximately 7% of whom are Mexican. Despite the growing presence of both communities, Mexican productions have had limited reach in Ireland due to distribution challenges. Stories from México was born to change that.
To promote the cultural richness and diversity of Mexico in Ireland through cinema and other artistic expressions, strengthening the cultural ties between both countries within the framework of Mexican Independence celebrations.
We connect Mexico and Ireland through shared stories, traditions, and artistic expressions that transcend language and borders.
We actively involve Mexican cultural groups already established in Ireland — in gastronomy, cinema, dance, photography, painting and music.
We believe Mexican cinema deserves a global stage. Every film we screen is a story that expands the world's understanding of México.
